Abstract: |
Based on shell bar structural characteristic of aqueducts, a model for spatial dynamic analysis of aqueducts with shell bar structure is presented. The aqueduct is discretely meshed into spatial beam element. Considered traversal and longitudinal deformations as well free and restraint twist deformation, explicit formulae of element stiffness and mass matrix of the aqueduct body are derived by energy principle. The brace of aqueducts is simulated into beam elements. The rubber supports with basin shape linking the brace and body of the scale aqueduct are simulated using spring elements. Finally, the modes and the vibration frequencies of the aqueduct of a large scale aqueduct are examined. The computational results are good, compared with the analytical ones and SAP software's. It is confirmed that the model of this paper is simple and practical for dynamic analysis of the large scale aqueducts. |
