Abstract:
HT5SS]In this paper, natural convection in two\|dimensional fluid saturated porous cavity heated from below is studied by bifurcation theory. Finite difference methods are used to determine the bifurcation processes and to reveal modal exchange mechanisms and their influence on the formation of flow patterns. The effect of aspect ration on critical Rayleigh number are computed by continuation methods. And a brief method to distinguish stability of solution branches is developed.
