The formulation of FEM for piezoelectric media is presented in the paper. Some special problems in FEM formulation are also discussed, including non\|dimensional procedure and static condensation. FEM analyses of classical static problems and the axisymmetric vibration of piezoelectric circular plate are performed, and the comparison between analytical solution and calculated results shows good agreement.
