| Abstract: |
| The drawing of the bimetal sheet is complicated due to the simultaneous existence of high order nonlinearity of geometry, plasticity, contact, friction and the difference of the two component metals in mechanical properties. The defects of the component metal during drawing results from the inhomogeneous plastic flow between the two component metals. Based on the rigid plastic finite element method, the drawing of the bimetal sheet was analysed. The distributions of the effective strains and the thickness strains of the component metals were obtained. The research method and results in the paper can provide useful information for optimizing the process parameters. |
