Abstract:
      Vibration analysis of beam with different boundary constrains is carried out to study the methods of mass matrix construction using the refined 8 20 node element, and a new method of constructing the mass matrix is proposed and the corresponding variational principle is used to prove the reasonableness of it. The results show that this approach significantly increases the accuracy of frequency obtained by the use of other mass matrix.
