Abstract: |
The paper establishes a thermomechanical coupled elasto plastic finite element method for finite deformations, by employing a linearized co rotational strain tensor and incremental virtual work principle. In the method, the flow stress of material is taken as a function of strain accumulation, strain rate and temperature. Consequently, a constitutive matrix in which the above relationship is incorporated is derived. In addition, the heat produced by plastic deformation and friction is added into the temperature analysis. The numerical examples show that the method can properly simulate the process of hot workings. |
