\ \ The finite element dynamic model for intelligent structures is formulated with a new piezoelectric plate bending element in this paper. The problem of active vibration control and suppression for intelligent structures is studied by using two feedback control laws. A method for active vibration control and suppression of intelligent structures is presented. Finally, a numerical example is given to illustrate the application of the method proposed in this paper.
