Abstract: |
\ A sub region isoparametric spline element method is presented for the stress and stability analysis of ring stiffened combined shell of revolution. According to geometry of the meridian, difference in shell thickness and boundary conditions, the ring stiffened combined shell of revolution is divided into several sub regions, different region is analyzed by isoparametric spline element with different step length, so the number of degrees of freedom is small, the computing accuracy is high, furthermore, the boundary conditions may be easily dealt with. For ring stiffened cone cylinder, cone toroid cylinder combined shell, the computing results are in good agreements with other computing results as well as experimental results. |
