| In this paper the initial damage threshold is determined and a finite element program based on the endochronic damage constitutive model is developed to study the size effect for three point bend beams and four point shear beams.Series of numerical studies are performed to examine the effects of specimen size on the failure loads.The analysis demonstrates that the proposed damage model is capable of correctly predicting the peak loads. |
