Abstract:
      In this paper, a method for the analysis of dynamic characteristics of long span steel trussed cable stayed bridges is suggested. The finite element model is developed using finite truss elements to model the truss bridge deck, and space beam elements to model the bridge tower, and space truss elements to model the cablesof cable stayed bridge. Stiffness and mass matrices are calculated based on material and geonetric properties of the various bridge elements. The subspace iteration method is used to calculate the eigenprobem. The results provide reference for design.
