The nonlinear thermal dynamic response of composite laminated plates is investigated in this paper by the use of a high order shear flexiable theory which can consider both the transvers normal strain and shear strain. The rotary inertia is considered also. The C 0 kind FE formula is given in the paper. The numerical results show that the validity and effectiveness of the model by comparison with the results available in literature and three dimmensional solutions. The effects of boundary conditions, longitudinal depth ratio and stacking angle on the nonlinear dynamic response are studied.
