Abstract:
      An implicit integration elastic stiffness method has been developed for the finite element analysis of rock and soil elasto plastic models.This method not only has the advantages of the good accuracy,high efficiency and unconditional stability,but also has the charateristics of the positive definite and symmetric stiffness matrices.Furthermore,it avoids nonsymmetric and sigular computational problems of conventional tangent stiffness methods for dealing with the nonassociated plastic flows and the sigular cornetr points of yield surfaces.Through the numerical experiment,the accuracy and efficiency of this method are examined in details.
