In this paper, a analytical model of the multi-material structure with a inteface crack is developed, which can be used to analyze fracture problems of a thin plate of the third material inserted into two dissimilar isotropic elastic solids, and a crack located on interface either between the first material and the third material or between the third material and the second material. If the thickness of the third material is much smaller than other dimensional scales of the structure, a simple universal relation between the complex stress intensity foctor of crack tip on the three-material sturcture and that of associated without third material is given. Some numerical results and discussions for the problem are presented. |
