This paper discusses the displacement continuity on the boundary between modified area and unmodified area. In the process of local grid subdivision of FEM structure,a general master-slave relationship is presented, treating the newly produced nodes as slave nodes contemporaneously controlled by several nodes to ensure the displacement continuity. The displacement control relationships for usual elements are offered,which have been applied to DDJ system.
