Abstract:
      In this paper,an unequidistant bicubic B-spline function is employed to represent the displacement compo-nents of a combined shell of revolution forming a function of interpolation in global coordinates to solve the staticproblem of this kind of shell.By this way,it also gives out circumferentional peridical conditions satisfactory forthe requirement of the circumferentional function of interpolation. In this paper,by the use of the penalty ele-ment,compatible relations of the connection of dlifferent shells of revolution under globle coordinate are provid-ed.In the solution,this method proved to be simple,clear in principle and readily understandable. One numeri-cal example is given.
