| An exact solution is derived for a shallow spherical shell with transverse shear deformationsby defining the new functions similar to Tomshon functions.The singular solutions for a shallow spherical shell subjected to concentrated loads at the pole and eccentric concentrated loads are ob-tained.The differences between the results of the improved theory and that of the classical theo-ry are discussed.Numerical results for the displacement and stress results of an example are pre-sented in detail. |
