Abstract:
      The optimal design of coupled mechanica1-structural automatic weapon systems is pro-posed and correspondingly,the NLP for the time domain optimization of the weapon systemssuUect to burst firing is established.A mixed predictor-corrector method is developed forthe state and the design sensitivity analysis of the coupled systems and the NLP problem issolved by an improved SLP method.The effectiveness of the present approaches is illustrat-ed with numerical results of minimized recoil forces of a simple weapon model with cammechanism.
