Abstract:
      This paper discusses a procedure of tetrahdr1 mesh generation using the advancing frontapproach in a volum e region with arbitrary shape and proposes a general scheme to generate atypical tetrahedral element in the procedure. A simple generalized Laplacian smoothing scheme fortriangular meshes on a 3D non-planar surface region and a smcothing sc heme for tetrahedralmeshes in a volume region are presented.Some graphic results are given to illustrate theperformance and capability of the present mesh generator and the implemented cede. The presentwork has been implemented as a pre-processor in the general purpose finite element packageLUSAS.
