Abstract:
      In this paper, the influence of post-ultimate negative stiffness stage on earthquake collapse response of reinforced concrete frame structures to a severe earthquake is studied. The earthquake collapse mechanism of structures is discussed,and an earthquake damage model is proposed,in which the degradation stiffness ratio is used as a damage parameter. Finally,the influences of the negative stiffness model on the behaviors such as strength, deformation and ductility of reinforced concrete frame structures under a strong earthquake are discussed through numercal simulation analysis in some examples.
