Abstract:
Random vibration analysis of large span space structures or high-rise structures, which are subjected to spatially correlated filtered white noise excitations such as wind load and earthquake motion, has been a difficult problem in engineering computation. Based on the idea of discrete analysis method of random vibration, this paper attempts to solve this problem. The formulas of calculating structural mean and mean square responses are given. As an example, the wind-induced vibration of a cable roof structure is ananlysed by using these formulas.
