Abstract:
      In this paper, based on the conceptions of the multistage decision operator and the object function matrix and the analysis of finite element method, the optimum design of thin plate with discrete variables under the displacement constraints is solved successfully by using the multistage decision operator method. The computer program for the optimum design of the plate is coded, and a numerical example computed on microcomputers is given in this paper.
