Abstract:
In this paper,the so-called quater-point traction sirgular boundary element using mixed parameters is proposed. By use of the singular boundary element and quater-point isoparametric boundary element, a method to determine the stress intensity factor is presented. The stress intensity factors of the infinite and finite orthtropic plates with central cracks are calculated. It is found that the results are very cousistant with the solutions available.
