| The parallel FEM of structure analysis--parallel preconditioned conjugategradient method, simply PPCG--is analyzed and discussed in detail. Parallel preconditioning algorithm based on multiprocessor systems with local memory is stressed, so that two kinds of PPCG. PPCG1 and PPCG2 are proposed. The two kinds of PPCG are suitable to parallel analysis using substructure strategy with one-way dissection. The stiffness matrix of structure decomposed by-one-way dissection is of arrow shape, therefore the interior DOFs of every substructure can be condensed without fill-in. The methods can be applied to analyze the complex structures by parallel computers with relatively more processors. |
