Abstract:
      The guyed towers are highly geometrically nonlinear structures because of cables action.They undergo large deflections when subjected to air blast loading. In engineering analyses,reduced modeling analysis methods-are often used.These approachs have a great amount of error in larger deflections analysis. In this papar, a nonlinear finite element micro-computer program has been developed for the static and dynamic nonlinear analyses of guyed tower. Two numerical example are presented; one is nonlinear static and dynamic analysis of single cable under step function loading, the other is dynamic analysis of 12m guyed tower subjected to air blast loading. The results show to be in good agreement with the other auther's solutions and the experimental results.
