Abstract: |
Rigid Body Finite Element Method (abbreviated as RBFEM), another method of solving the basic equations of Solid mechanics, is proposed from mathematical view and the mathematical explanations of KAWAI model are given in this paper.RBFEM significantly reduces semi-band widths and volume of global stiffness matrices, so it considerably reduces the computational work.Analyses of linear elasticity and thermal stress problem are presented first in this paper, then shackdown and limit analysis are worked out in combining RBFEM with Thermo-Parameter Method. Slabs with circular hole, square cutout, oblique square opening and slit are analysed respectively and better results are obtained. |
