| HT5SS]The state\|of\|the\|art of neural computing in structural analysis and design has been surveyed, with emphasis on the applications of hierarchical neural network, counterpropaga\| tion network and Hopfield model. The neural network computing strategies and research trends are given in this paper. It is proven that the neurocomputing is a practical and promising tool for solving large\|scale structural engineering problems. |
