The method for computing stress intensity factors from three dimensional collapsed quarter point singular elements nodal displacements is presented. A new extrapolation equation is obtained which is the extensions of Chen and Kuang in three dimensions. Particular cases state clearly that the new method performs a high order of accuracy than that of lngraffen and Manu Numerical examples show that the computation is stability and not sensitive to the element size. |
