| The soft-science character of civil engineering design problems and the unceriain(random,fuzzy and unascertained)factors in these problems are discussed firstly. Then,the theory of globaloptimization of engineering systems and the theory of structural soft design developed by theauthor are briefly introduced. Finally,the contents of engineering soft science are proposed. |
